Exclusive culinary event at the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort

An opportune alignment of exceptional talent and good taste inspired the creation of a rare culinary event coming to the Hyatt Regency on May 20th, unfolding at the Palms Restaurant.

The event, a six course dinner, graced by culinary expertise, wine knowledge and service excellence, offers a limited number of tickets, available for sale through Mrs. Pinto, contact number 523-4574.

Inspired by Arion Wine Company representing Jackson Family Wines, the evening will be hosted by the winery’s Master Sommelier Jennifer Huether, on her first visit to Aruba.

As Master Sommelier for the prestigious Jackson Family Wines, Jennifer will meet and greet all guests attending the exclusive gathering. She will be pouring the winery’s top-of-the line wines, and pairing them with exquisite offerings conceived by award-winning executive chef Vincent Pellegrini and lovingly prepared his culinary brigade. The Brazilian-native chef infused many local elements into his cuisine, and promises layered, complex and surprising food combinations. The wine pairing was expertly overseen by Govert v/d Hout, of Arion Wine Company.

The extravagant menu takes off with a Burrata Cheese appetizer paired with Galarie Naissance Sauvignon Blanc, 2013, Napa Valley, followed by a Duck Confit, escorted by the popular Byron Pinot Noir, 2012, Santa Maria Valley.

Diners will delight in the Roasted Cigar Salmon, chased by Stonestreet Chardonnay, 2012, Sonoma Valley.

For Intermezzo, an exotic passion fruit sorbet with a splash of Arrowood Chardonnay, Sonoma Valley, will pave the way for the arrival of the main course, Seared Tenderloin with roasted garlic, shitake mushroom ragout, charcoal artichoke and porcini reduction, served with both Stonestreet Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 and the highly Robert Parker rated Cardinale, 2010, Napa Valley and encouraging the discussion of personal preferences among dinner guests.

The dessert featuring one of the chef’s signature specialties Cream of Papaya, with blueberries, hibiscus Cabernet dressing and melt-in your mouth Pistachio Macaroons, will be enhanced by an exquisite golden elixir, Kendall-Jackson Late Harvest Chardonnay, 2007, Monterey County.

Canadian-born Huether, the first and only female Master Sommelier in Canada, recognized by the Court of Master Sommeliers, will provide ongoing commentary sharing her deep knowledge of all things related to wine.

Chef Pellegrini whose passion for food, combined with his culinary expertise and welcoming personality, made him a household name in Aruba, is a champion of Hyatt Hotels & Resorts’ global food philosophy, as he thoughtfully sources and carefully serves meals focused on healthy preparations, fit for royalty as he recently cooked all meals for his Royal Highness, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, and his wife Queen Maxima, staying at the Hyatt Regency, on an official visit to the island.

Founded in 1982 by Jess Jackson, the Jackson Family vineyards and wineries are first and foremost family-owned and operated, which was Jess Jackson’s goal, when he entered the wine business three decades ago, wishing to create a family enterprise specializing in handmade wines of unmatched character.
