Preparations for the upcoming Drag Racing Season ongoing at the Palo Marga Race track facility in San Nicolas, Aruba

ORANJESTAD – Work is underway at the Palo Marga racing facility getting the runway and all the surrounding facilities ready for the start of the 2014 racing season.
This is expected to be just after the close of Carnival. The next events of Street Legal are scheduled to take place from the 8th to the 22nd of March. The larger vehicles will get into action at the end of March during the 2014 Boss Drag War.

There is already a tentative program for the entire year. They are only waiting for confirmation of a few promoters, after which they will publish the official program for the entire 2014 year.
With respect to the Boss Drag War, this is programmed for Friday the 28th and 29th of March and will be valid for the IHRA Summit Super Series. Riders are reminded to renew their IHRA memberships for 2014.

On Friday the 28th of March drivers in the Jr. Dragster categories will run, also Box and Sportsman Bike and Front wheel Drive. On Saturday 29th, the Jr. Dragster categories, No Box, Box, Pro ET Bike and Import Class will hit the track.

Depending on the level of interest, the race way may open with traction on the weekend prior for those interested in testing and tuning their vehicles.

In the next few days there will be more information forthcoming regarding any eventual changes of, among others, the introduction of the crossover system. Drivers will be duly informed.
