Recently Aruba got the good news that another medal was won at the Youth Games in Peru, this time it was bronze.
Mack van Eerenbeemt positioned himself in third place from the beginning of the windsurfing competition among strong competitors from Argentina and Venezuela.
The windsurfing completion was 5 days and consisted of 12 races. After the second racing day, Mack was in position three. But on the fourth day a competitor from Uruguay took over the third place from the young Aruban surfer. Medal chances seemed very vague at this time. But Mack did not give up and on the last day of races he fought back and claimed the third spot again to take home bronze.
A tremendous feat no doubt. Good job Mack, and congratulations, Aruba is proud of you!
