Palm Beach – The much-anticipated opening of Benihana is on the horizon, as the restaurant construction at the South Beach Centre nears completion.

To those traveling to Palm Beach on the Sasaki highway, the sign says it all: Benihana, the popular Japanese Steakhouse serving great American favorites such as prime sirloin, chicken and seafood, is checking into its new and stylish location honoring 1,000 year old Japanese recipes.

While guests at Benihana traditionally surround the Hibachi tables with smiles and excitement, the chefs perform a fast-paced dazzling show, creating oriental masterpieces with their razor-sharp knives, slicing, dicing, slashing and chopping through a large menu of mouth watering dishes.

If you’ve been to a Benihana before, you know, it’s a mesmerizing spectacle at any age.

Visitors and locals are invited to experience the longest running food show in the world, at the new Benihana around the Hibachi tables and at the Sushi Bar, with indoor and outdoor terrace seating.

Designed by Inarch NV, and architect Carlos Profet the restaurant also features a private dining room, an elegant two-way bar with outside and inside seats, a stylish waiting lounge and elegant restrooms.

Managing Director Morris Figaroa reports the restaurant in its current location is bigger, and enjoys a more spacious kitchen and back-of-the-house facilities.

First opened on Aruba on Sasakiweg in 1996, Benihana moved to Palm Beach 6 years ago. It just recently relocated to fit the new corporate profile, to also feature al fresco dining. Aruba’s upgraded Benihana is the new prototype for the international restaurant chain, boasting a more elegant and contemporary look.
