For the first time, the Divi & Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusives will be hosting a Culinary Week that brings together four internationally acclaimed Michelin-starred chefs from the Netherlands who will join forces to create an “8-star” dining experience unlike any other. Taking place from June 1-9, 2019, Culinary Week includes special events at the Red Parrot Restaurant, Fusion Wine & Piano Bar and Windows on Aruba fine dining restaurants culminating in an exclusive dinner of a lifetime prepared by all four acclaimed guest chefs at Windows on Aruba on either Friday, June 7 or Saturday, June 8.
“We are dedicated to developing our culinary offerings at the Divi & Tamarijn Aruba so that the food, service and atmosphere continue to exceed what guests expect from an all-inclusive resort,” said Alex Nieuwmeyer, Managing Director of Divi Resorts Aruba. “Hosting this world-class event allows us to raise the bar and provide our guests as well as the local Aruba community with an evening of unique sophistication while simultaneously highlighting our top-quality cuisine and restaurant options.”
The participating acclaimed guest chefs are:
Francois Geurds
(**) FG Restaurant, Rotterdam, The Netherlands,
(*) FG Food Labs, Rotterdam, The Netherlands
Erik van Loo
(**) Parkeuvel, Rotteram, The Netherlands

Chef Geurds is the son of Aruban-Dutch parents who has worked with such famous chefs as Thomas Keller and Eric Ripert. Known internationally for his innovative style of cooking, he opened the first culinary laboratory in the Netherlands where he experiments in the field of tastes and techniques. At the young age of 34, Chef de Rozario is the owner of De Rozario, having previously worked in the restaurant De Lindehof. He combines and presents Indonesian and Asian flavors and is known for letting go of all the rules to develop his dishes with creativity and finesse. Chef van Loo is responsible for the most famous restaurant in the Netherlands, Parkheuvel. Having grown up as a butcher’s son, he is now known for his sauces and classic French dishes with a modern touch and presentation. A childhood dream come true, Chef Vinke and his wife started restaurant De Kromme Watergang more than 25 years ago. All his dishes are organic featuring a number of home-made products from his own gardens while fish and salty flavors predominate in his food.
This series of gourmet dinners will afford guests the opportunity to sample intricate flavor combinations in addition to enjoying their escape to Aruba. Dishes for each dinner will be presented in 5-courses plus amuses with wine pairings selected by a top sommelier to complement each course. Sample menu items include an appetizer of Bommeriger Pig with crème fraiche, oxtail jelly and avila cress created by Chef van Loo, a second starter of codfish “en papillotte” by Chef Vinke, a “Black Beauty” entrée on coconuts barbequed celeriac with a vinaigrette of 42 herbs and spices and a dessert from Chef de Rozario of coconut with papaya, pandan and wild rice.
