Team Members at Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino, lined up the lobby for a socially distant Guard of Honor welcome, when Kayleigh Ann Tobin & Joseph Boissonneault walked into the resort two weeks ago, having just tied the knot in the presence of family members and friends at Aruba’s Town Hall, in Oranjestad.
The new Mr. & Mrs. Boissonneault were personally greeted at the entrance by General Manager Vasco Baselli, with indoor cold fireworks announcing their arrival. They were offered two chilled flutes of champagne, and personalized balloons as Team Members cheered them along.
“It is our first wedding since reopening on July 9th,” reports the overjoyed Lisa Dammerman, the resort’s Wedding Specialist, “Kayleigh Ann never gave up on Aruba,” she explains, “it was her dream to get married here and during the past months she kept in touch with us, planning to fulfill her dream.
The two love-birds met on a beach, in Massachusetts, eight years ago, and were planning to host a destination wedding in 2020. They are both repeat visitors to the island. While at first it seemed unrealistic, the two insisted, and persisted, and were rewarded by a lovely civil ceremony, a sunset beach blessing performed by the groom’s mom and a tropical dinner party in the evening hours.
