Mark your calendars for an exciting King’s Day event as One Love Foundation and Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort proudly present their 3rd Annual 1-Mile and 5-KM Charity Dog Walk/Run, set to take place on April 27, 2024, starting at 8 AM at Linear Park, situated in front of the Costa Linda Beach Resort parking lot.
Join us as we come together in honor of Stimami Sterilisami dedicating this event to raising both funds and awareness for the foundation’s crucial national spay and neuter program designed to compassionately address the issue of stray animals on our island. The entire community, alongside their beloved four-legged companions, is cordially invited to participate in a morning filled with fitness, fun, and philanthropy. There will be raffles with exciting prizes, and complimentary water, fruit, and doggy treats will be available for participants and their pets.
For those without a furry companion but who still wish to participate, you can join the event solo or opt to volunteer and walk one of the rescue dogs from rescue organizations such as Sgt Peppers Friends, Luna Foundation, Crijojo Trappers, ARF (Animal Relief Foundation), New Life For Paws, and the Animal Shelter, all of whom are invited to take part.
How to participate
Participants can sign up via the Stimami Sterilisami website: www.stimamisterilisami.com/events. On the sign-up sheet, you can also indicate whether you would like to volunteer to walk a rescue dog from one of the rescue organizations. Make sure to put in all of your contact information so they can reach out to you beforehand. Participation is completely free, but donations are highly appreciated and go directly towards Stimami Sterilisami’s national spay and neuter program.

The story of Stimami Sterilisami’s efforts is one of collective passion, impactful contributions, and a shared vision for the future of animal welfare in Aruba. Central to this narrative is the inception of Stimami Sterilisami, which was founded in 2016 by Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of affordable and accessible sterilizations of local dogs and cats, whether owned by individual pet owners or rescued by hardworking rescue organizations. As Stimami’s largest donor and supporter, Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort has been instrumental in shaping the foundation’s path, providing unwavering support and resources that have allowed it to make significant strides toward its goals.
One Love Foundation, a US-based organization, forged a pivotal partnership with Stimami Sterilisami and Bucuti & Tara in December 2021. The foundation has been actively involved in aiding local rescue organizations and raising funds from generous donors in the US for Stimami Sterilisami. To date, the collaboration with the One Love Foundation has been nothing short of inspiring. It has brought in over USD 25,000 in donations, which have been matched dollar for dollar by Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, doubling the impact of every donation towards our shared goal.
