PALM BEACH, ARUBA – September 6, 2013 – On Friday, September 6, 2013 the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino invited local clients and members of the press to celebrate the re-launch of its newly renovated $1.6 million Grand Ballroom.
General Manager Tom Calame and Senior Sales Manager Chela de Lannoy cut the ceremonial red ribbon to officially re-open the Grand Ballroom and welcomed the invitees to a cocktail party in the re-vamped space.
“We are excited to be pulling a fresh and contemporary look into the Ballroom space as we work towards the new Marriott brand portfolio, ‘future of meetings,’” said General Manager Tom Calame. “Marriott’s mission is to evolve meeting experiences through co-creation with customers and associations, and this new space is just the beginning in our efforts to bring in new ways to execute meetings.”
The Aruba Marriott Sales, Events and Banquets team used this event to showcase the various setups they plan to offer clients for future meetings, banquet events and Christmas parties.
Invitees included local businesses, the Aruba Tourism Authority CEO and management team, Aruba Hotel and Tourism Authority management and local press. Attendees enjoyed sushi, wok & carving stations, passed hors d’ oeuvres and a full bar selection, while getting a sneak peek at the décor & set-up now available for meetings and group functions in the new ballroom.
