Guests staying at Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino enjoyed a distinct and delightful Wellness Program in June, in support of the island’s 4th annual Aloe Wellness Month.
Created by the Aruba Tourism Authority, the Aloe Wellness Month aims at highlighting the island’s special relationship to the Aloe plant, with particular emphasis on the many different wellness activities available on our One Happy Island.
The program at Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino supported the Aruba Tourism Authority initiative, with the goal of helping visitors focus on their well being while on vacation, relaxing and revitalizing their body, mind and soul connections.
The Wellness Month activities featured a menu of carefully curated free-of-charge activities ranging from SUP yoga, mixology classes, Hatha flow yoga, and cooking demos with the Chef, around the resorts’ pools, in the restaurants, and on the beach.
Daily bird interactions, paddle boarding, meditation, mini chair massages by eforea spa, cycling tours, and pool aerobics, spurred many guests into action, and families traveling with kids could participate in beach volleyball, family football, and archery, in addition to the activities organized by the on-site dive center.
The resort’s oceanfront eforea spa, with eight treatment rooms, an outdoor cabana for couples, a full service salon, steam room, sauna and cold plunge pool, promoted a collection of rejuvenating spa treatments, including a weekly DIY Aloe scrub class.
As a special feature, mid-month, renowned yoga practitioner Georgette Dunn was in residence at the resort, conducting a number of her signature, joyful and surprising sessions. Dunn hosted a candle light yoga session one evening, chased by a fun and challenging SUP yoga, the following day. Paying homage to the islands’ fondness of happy hour, she invited guests to experience a unique Sip & flow Yoga session, adults only, and included all ages for Family Yoga, the following day.
Holistic health coach and celebrity yoga instructor Koya Webb, visited the resort on the third week of June. The internationally recognized yoga teacher, personal trainer, holistic health and wellness coach, motivational speaker, and professional fitness model, hosted Sunrise Yoga, attended by a great number of local followers, who mingled with guests for a much-enjoyed hour, accompanied by a light and healthy breakfast on the lushly landscaped Miramar-south lawn. Koya’s Sunset Yoga and a guided meditation session proved equally popular.
Additional wellness-focused classes included a weekly cooking demo with the Executive Chef at the Sunset Grille Restaurant. Chef prepared a repertory of healthy, low-calorie salads, in addition to local favorites such as Aruban Pan Bati made with indigenous wild corn, and local grouper with mango fruit salsa.
The Happy & Healthy Mira Solo Lobby Bar was a crowd-pleaser every Monday of the month.
Wellness Month at Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino was dedicated to the importance of living well. The program raised awareness for physical exercise, beauty treatments, healthy life-styles, balanced nutrition, and mindfulness, and will return with many more exciting features in June next year.
