InselAir will start operating weekly flights from Curacao and Aruba to La Romana (Punta Cana) as of July 7th, 2014.Tickets to this new destination can be purchased at any InselAir ticket office, at Cpost in Punda and Otrabanda (Curacao), at local travel agents and online via fly-inselair.com. La Romana is InselAir’s 20th destination and its second destination in the Dominican Republic. Passengers from other destinations, such as Aruba and Bonaire, can conveniently travel via Curacao to La Romana with a minimum transfer time.
La Romana has a lot to offer
La Romana, located in the South-eastern part of the Dominican Republic, has a lot to offer to travelers. It is home to the number one (1) golf course in the Caribbean ‘Teeth of the Dog’ and is located within the well-known ‘Casa de Campo’ resort. And the crystal clear waters invite divers to explore the ‘Guadalupe Underwater Museum’ and the ‘Cara Merchant shipwreck’. The airport is located North-east of the city and provides quick and easy access to all the resorts of La Romana, Punta Cana and other points of interest such as the beautiful ‘Parque Nacional Del Este’.
Less than an hour from Punta Cana
From La Romana, it is an approximately 1 hour drive (80km) to Punta Cana. Punta Cana is well known for its stunning beaches, dynamic nightlife, championship golf courses and the overall romantic ambiance. With 35,000 hotel rooms, varying from upscale hotels to smaller boutique hotels, Punta Cana offers the perfect get-a-way for a weekend break, a family vacation or a romantic escape. InselAir brings you, on Mondays, non-stop, in 80 minutes, to La Romana.

Until September 30, 2014, InselAir offers introduction* fares to its newest destination ;from Curacao, ANG 417 (round trip, excl. Curacao airport tax), from Bonaire, USD 268 (incl. taxes) and from Aruba AWG 529 (incl. taxes).Flights will be operated according to the following flight schedule (all times are local). Travel period is from July 7 to September 30, 2014.
