Loyal employee of Maggy’s N.V. retires after 35 years of service

During a special breakfast meeting, Maggy’s N.V. said goodbye to Mrs. Erica Rodriguez-Abath who has worked at the company for 35 years. Erica worked at all Maggy’s locations and held several positions within the company, but after 35 years of employment Erica decided to start enjoying her retirement. Mrs. Audrey, director of Maggy’s N.V., presented Erica with a special gift during this occasion to show her appreciation for all the years of loyal service.

Ecolution, an energy-efficient sailboat, and his crew arrived on Aruba

Ecolution is an energy-autonomous sailboat designed for people who want to sail year round and worldwide, summer and winter, throughout the world. After 88 days in which Ecolution crossed the Atlantic Ocean, ex-astronaut Ockels and his crew finally arrived in Aruba. Ecolution will stay over in Aruba for three months and during this period Ockels will assist the Aruban government with several sustainability projects.

2013 Aruba’s Carnival Child and Youth Queens are crowned

This year five dynamic girls aspired to be Aruba’s Carnival Children’s Queen and four girls were in the running for the title of Aruba’s Carnival Youth Queen.  Edylienne Tromp dominated almost all categories in the Child Queen category and was crowned as Aruba 38th Children’s Queen. Kiziah Trimon was awarded with Most Popular, Best Costume and SETAR Youth Queen and took the 50th Youth Queen title.
