On March 16th, Island officials got together at the March 18 Monument in Oranjestad to honor the original singers of the “Status Aparte’ petition in favor of the Aruba autonomy within the Dutch Kingdom. During this year’s event a special book was launched that includes all original signers of the petition and their stories.

March 18th marks Aruba Flag and Anthem day and the Aruba Museum Foundation will also use the symbolic date to open its doors to the San Nicolas Community Museum.
The Museum will feature a collection of artifacts along with a diverse demonstration of Aruban History and that of the world and much more. The San Nicolas Museum also commemorates Mario Odor an ardent historian of Aruba whose work will be displayed for all to see.The Museum will also be opened during the San Nicolas Carubbian Festival on Thursday evenings as an added attraction for the district of San Nicolas.

This musical celebration promises to be nothing less than tremendous with a variation of never before heard musical pieces. Kozlov Dance Int'l did it one more time delighting the audience in Cas di Cultura with the all time classic by Tchaikovsky’s on the last week of 2012. The production featured guest stars Albert Davydov and the rising star Sophia Greenbaum. The audience was thrilled by the performance and elegance of the production and choreography with over 40 Aruban dancers of all ages that performed in chorus.
