Portuguese street artist Artur Bordalo, better known as Bordalo II, recently created a large new piece on the streets of San Nicolas for the Aruba Art Fair. The impressive 3D sculpture of the aruban iguana was made using trash and found materials.
With inspiration, Bordalo is able to transform heaps of garbage into oversized sculptures, which he spray-paints and molds into new forms. In the picture below Bordalo can be seen holding a damaged bumper from an aruban police car, collecting materials for his sculpture.
Creating the sculpture was not easy. Great dedication and late nights of work were required to make the iguana come to life. Below is a picture of the artist making the magic happen.
