From 25 to 27 October 2013 Aruba Nautical Club is organizing its prestigious international fishing tournament (“49th International Classic Billfish Tournament”). This tournament is a yearly event from as early as 1964. Nowadays this tournament is held in a “Catch & Release” format. For each released fish the angler and his team will earn an amount of points.

At the end, the angler and team with the most points will the winner. Prices include trophies, cash prices and other attractive articles. Images of the released fish will be shown on flat screens at the club. The tournament is a qualifying event for the 2014 IGFA World Offshore Championship, to be held in Quepos, Costa Rica.

The program for the weekend will be as follows:

Friday 25 October: Registration, captain’s meeting and welcome cocktail.

Saturday 26 October: First fishing day (the estimated arrival time of the boats will be around 5 PM).
