With their unique action, the two boat builders hope to show that a lovely wooden vessel can be built in relatively little time and with not much expertise. The design of the boat is a John Welsford Seagull; the boat can easily hold three people and glides through the water with ease.
The wood needed to build the Seagull is entirely sponsored by Kooyman, in support of the International Sailing Regatta. The boat will be sold unpainted, so that the new owner can decide on its color and finishing touches in close cooperation with Rik and Yair.
The International Sailing Regatta will be held at Surfside Beach – everyone is more than welcome to come and cheer the participants in the various classes on.
