Belgian beers are playing starring roles in many more countries than just in Belgium. Guess what: also on Aruba! Served in their own, specific glasses, their tastes are differing greatly. Drinking a glass of beer can therefore take on a totally new dimension. Their names? Hoegaarden, Duvel, Westmalle, Leffe, Trappist, Kriek, Palm, Corsendonck, Stella Artois, Kasteelbier, Pauwel Kwak, Ommegang, Brugze Zot, Slaapmutske, la Chouffe and Bellvue Kriek. Ever tried them? You should; they’re wonderful.
Belgium is famous for its beers. Countless breweries, some even located in monasteries, dot the countryside. Each brewery tries to brew a beer with a distinct taste and it takes great pride in its brew. The glasses which each different beer should be drunk from are unique.
Belgian beers are playing starring roles during Taste of Belgium’s Beer Tasting this Friday. The gorgeous restaurant is located in the Palm Beach Plaza, close to the high rise hotels. A waiter who is knowledgeable about beers and beer brewing will be around to enlighten his guests and to introduce the lovely, lesser- known beers that will be poured.
The $ 32.50 beer tasting arrangement is made up of five specialty beers poured in their specific glasses. Taste of Belgium’s Belgian Beer Tastings event will have tasters of Hoegaarden, Pauwel Kwak, Stella Artois, Corsendonck and Westmalle Dubbel.
So if your mouth starts watering when you think of a glass of foaming, freshly poured Belgian beer, come to Taste of Belgium and enjoy its First Belgian Beer Tastings Event.
This Friday, the 14th of June. Make your reservations now since there is limited seating available; 586-6388.
