Additional flights with nonstop service with Copa Airlines between Aruba and Panama

Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) was very happy when receiving the news that Copa Airlines would increase its service from Panama to Aruba and on July 3rd welcomed the first additional flight to Aruba. These additional flights complement Copa’s daily non-stop service to Aruba. Copa Airlines offers service to 67 cities in 30 countries in the Americas.

Copa Airlines a Copa Holdings, SA, subsidiary, member of Star Alliance, the leading global airlines network, started a second frequency between Aruba and Panama. The new flight will operate on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Thursday.

The new Copa flight CM 213 will depart from Aruba International Airport’s on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Thursdays at 7:01 p.m., arriving at Copa’s Hub of the Americas in Tocumen International Airport in Panama City at 08:05 p.m. The return flight CM 212 will depart Panama at 12:06 p.m., arriving in Aruba at 03:06 p.m.

“Today, we are very pleased to launch a second flight with nonstop service between Aruba and Panama offering more options to the Americas with 11 flights a week”. Explained Claudia Zuluaga, Commercial Manager Caribbean Region. “This second frequency will operate a modern and comfortable Embraer 190 aircraft with a capacity of 106 passengers. This is a special moment for Copa Airlines in Aruba. Our operations started in 2008 with 4 flights a week growing to daily in 2011. This history of success is the result of the consistent cooperation partnership between our airline and Aruba officials headed by the Aruba Tourism Authority and the Aruba Airport Authority”, added Zuluaga.

Established in 1947, Copa Airlines transported more than 11 million passengers in 2013. The airline was named “Best Airline in the Central America and Caribbean region” at the Skytrax World Airline Awards in June 2013. Additionally, Copa continues its commitment to providing world class service to its customers by maintaining its high standard of service recognized by the industry and the best on-time performance in America.

Copa’s on-board service includes complimentary meals and beverages, including wines and spirits; a 12-channel audio-visual entertainment system in English, Spanish and Portuguese, with new movies monthly and complimentary headsets.
