A spectacular evening of laughter and giving marked the successful launch of the 1st Annual Pawsitively Hilarious Comedy Benefit hosted by One Love Foundation in collaboration with Aruba Ray’s Comedy. The event raised an impressive $20,000, which was generously matched by Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, doubling the total contribution to $40,000, all in support of Stimami Sterilisami’s national spay and neuter program.
The event, hosted at the popular Aruba Ray’s Comedy Club at Eagle Aruba Resort, not only entertained but also illuminated the critical needs of Aruba’s street animals and rescue organizations. One Love Foundation, a U.S. -based organization led by Ellen Sirianni, Rob Sirianni, Berkley Cameron, Cassie Murvay and Michele Tenerelli, has been pivotal in supporting Stimami Sterilisami Foundation. Their efforts focus on fundraising, raising awareness, bringing in critical supplies, and educating the public about the importance of animal welfare.
One Love Foundation partnered with Stimami Sterilisami in December of 2021, recognizing it as a pillar of animal welfare in Aruba because since 2016, Stimami Sterilisami has spayed and neutered over 40,000 dogs and cats, playing a crucial role in humanely controlling the island’s pet population. This effort not only curbs the number of stray animals but also significantly improves their health and quality of life. The continued success of this mission relies heavily on the support from generous donors such as One Love Foundation, Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, the Aruba Tourism Authority, the Tourism Product Enhancement Fund, Setar NV, and many others. Without their contributions, this vital work could not continue.
