On November 7th, 2022, SMAC, Aruba’s official organization behind every Carnival production, announced that ‘Aruba Carnaval’ is finally back after a long two-year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic.
Aruba’s 2023 Carnival season officially kicked off on November 11th, 2022 with a Carnaval Street Party, and this season the island is proud to be celebrating 69 years of Aruba’s beloved Carnaval.
The colorful, grand affair of the year has been much anticipated by both locals and visitors alike since Carnival 66 came to a close in 2020. The first official parade, the Torch Parade, is set to take place on January 7th, 2023, the Grand Parade in San Nicolas will take place on February 18, 2023, and last but certainly not least, Aruba’s Grand Carnival Parade in Oranjestad will take place on February 19, 2023.
