Chela de Lannoy of Hilton Aruba Resort Recognized Among “25 Women to Watch in Hotel Food & Beverage”

Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino is very pleased to announce that Aruba native Ruthsela “Chela” de Lannoy, Director of Catering & Convention, has been listed among “25 Women to Watch in Hotel Food & Beverage” in the November/ December issue of Hotel F&B magazine.

The female executives listed among the 25 are recognized for the impact they are making at their properties and on guest experience as well as their commitment to the creation of exciting, memorable events, highlighting the culinary excellence of their resorts.

Chela de Lannoy, an experienced and well-respected leader in the hospitality field in Aruba, joined the team at Hilton Aruba Caribbean Hotel & Casino as Director of Catering & Conventions almost two years ago, and successfully assumed responsibilities for the resort’s extensive banquet activities.

“Ruthsela is one of the most creative and energetic Director of Events and Catering I have had the privilege to work with” says Anthony Armas, the resort’s Director of Sales & Marketing.

Her nomination among Women to Watch in Hotel Food & Beverage cited that: “De Lannoy has more than 30 years of experience in hospitality, events, catering and sales. She creates a true sense of teamwork, leadership and spirit, and possesses the ability to zero in on what excites clients by creating a unique experience that brings together the best element of F&B, service and decor”.

Chela has been recognized for her work throughout her career, including being named Manager of the Quarter six times, receiving Marriott’s Bill Tiefel Award twice, and most recently recognized as Manager of the Month at Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino.

On a personal level, Chela is charismatic and friendly, and an enthusiastic wife, mother and grandma, who enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, bowling and dancing.
