Sunday, August 20th at the Renaissance Convention Center in downtown Oranjestad, Karol Croes was crowned the new Miss Universe Aruba 2023.
The 27 year-old model, entrepreneur and social media marketer was also awarded the Miss Photogenic award. Succeeding former Miss Universe Aruba 2022, Kiara Arends, Karol will represent Aruba at the Miss Universe Competition 2023 in El Salvador this coming November.
Among her diverse portfolio of work and experience, she has created the initiative, “Pan pa mi ruman”, which promotes healthy environments and relationships for young teenagers. Karol wants to use her voice to equip and empower the youth by sharing tools for self-expression, self-love, and self-empowerment.
Among the other contestants were Gavriëla Bozo, who was named first runner-up and awarded Most Inspirational, as well as contestants Anaisa Orman, Lorraine Oduber, and Milenka Janssen.
The 72nd Miss Universe Competition will take place on November 18th in El Salvador, the event will air live on the Roku Channel and Telemundo.
