ORANJESTAD — This year the Children’s and Youth Calypso and Roadmarch Contest promise to be bigger in comparison with last year. Last year’s festival had only 12 participants and this year we have the beautiful number of 26, an excited spokesperson for SAC said.
The Children’s category will consist of 14 participants and the line-up will be the following: 1. Xenon Daal, 2. Roshendra Figaroa,3. Jahmani Eisden, 4. Tashanira Rasmijn, 5. Zyquelo Guerrero, 6. Jayleen Croes, 7. Ashantee Martus, 8. Zxqu Guerrero, 9. Prisilla Quant, 10. Jair Dijkhoff, 11. Xenon Orfao, 12. Sakandi Chandler, 13. Monique Maduro and 15. Lacey Albus.
The youth category line up: 1. Jada Mejia, 2. Vincent Grovel, 3. Aldwayne Brete, 4. Rudolfo Gonzalves, 5. 6. Joshua Bryson, 7. Italee Brown, 8. Izellah Ruiz, 9. Jake Orfao, 10. Michael Quant and 11. Ivienne Hernandez.
All particpants will be accompanied by Exquizit Band.
The Festival will be held at the Entertainment Center in Dakota at 7 p.m Saturday. Gate will be opened from 6 p.m. Tickets are available at SAC offices in Dakota or at the gate. Children’s entrance is only Afl. 5,- and adults Afl. 10.
The community is invited to come out and show support for the children in such a beautiful event while also supporting our grand Carnival Jubileum Celebration this year.
