InselAir announced that it will start operating flights from Aruba to Georgetown, British Guyana as of June 18th 2014. InselAir will start operating 2 flights a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, to Georgetown. Until June 15th 2014, InselAir will offer special introduction fares to Georgetown.

Each year the decoration and knighting of individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the community is taking place in conjunction with King’s Day. This year sixteen Arubans got the honor to receive a medal from the Order of Orange-Nassau. Four of them were designated ‘Knights in the Order of Orange Nassau’ and the other twelve were designated as ‘Member in the Order of Orange Nassau’.

Composer Juan Chabaya “Padu” Lampe of Aruba’s National Anthem ‘Aruba Dushi Tera’ turned 94 on April 26th. Every year Arubans celebrate his birthday by paying a tribute with cultural contributions. This year Johnny Croes organized a special concert at Cas di Cultura were several musicians performed the most popular compositions of Juan Chabaya “Padu” Lampe.
