Aruba welcomes LAN Airlines who will start operating as of December 1st 2013. Twice weekly LAN Airlines will offer direct flights from Bogota, Colombia to Aruba. Also tourists from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Ecuador will benefit from this addition, as it will offer them favorable connections via Bogota to Aruba.

Six teams of four future chefs competed on the last night of the annual Aruba Wine, Food & Art Festival for the honor of winning this year’s EPI Culinary School Student Contest. Each team, mentored by an established chef, presented an assortment of amuses of duck, pork, shrimp and other gourmet treat, leaving it up to the judges to select the best dish.

Three of Aruba’s top chefs—Scott Scheurman from Aqua Grill, Urvin Croes from White Modern Cuisine, and Erwin Husken from Screaming Eagle competed for the top Iron Chef title.
