March 18th marks Aruba Flag and Anthem day and the Aruba Museum Foundation will also use the symbolic date to open its doors to the San Nicolas Community Museum.
The Museum will feature a collection of artifacts along with a diverse demonstration of Aruban History and that of the world and much more. The San Nicolas Museum also commemorates Mario Odor an ardent historian of Aruba whose work will be displayed for all to see.The Museum will also be opened during the San Nicolas Carubbian Festival on Thursday evenings as an added attraction for the district of San Nicolas.
Weekend Festvities to celebrate Aruba Flag and Anthem Day
Starting Friday March 15, festivities will begin in commemoration of Aruba's Anthem and Flag Day. This musical celebration promises to be nothing less than tremendous with a variation of never before heard musical pieces. You are especially invited to the magna concert on the Plaza Betico Croes in the Vondellaan on Sunday, March 17th.

Runners are preparing for this Sunday's annual half-marathon which will depart from the Joe Laveist sport park in San Nicholas. The annual event has always been associated with Aruba's National day, and attracts runners from all over the globe. This year is no different as an expected 700 participants will race to the finish line at the Alhambra Casino parking lot.
