Diners can expect a very pleasant surprise when stopping by Caribbean Palm Villas Resort to sample the refreshed menu of the newly revamped Sweet Peppers restaurant, adjacent to the main courtyard. Veteran visitors will be pleased to find Anky, recognized from her years with Aruba’s top gourmet eatery, Chez Mathilde and her brother Ricardo at the helm. Ricardo was always the life of the party every Wednesday night at Matthew’s Seaside restaurant, and he brings that same energy and calculated craziness to Sweet Peppers’ Karaoke Dance Party every Thursday evening, beginning at 9:00 PM. regionally famous entertainer Lloyd Baptiste runs the singing competition, and they feature a two hour, 2-for-1 happy hour at the bar.
Anky has completely remodeled the lovely space within the resort, which is just a short walk from the principal Palm Beach strip. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, they feature a great mix of local specialties with an emphasis on fresh fish, and Italian favorites such as Osso Bucco, on their diverse menu.
Particularly impressive is the Ceviche Aruban Style, as well as the Fruitti di Mare en Casserole, a dream for seafood lovers. Every Tuesday is All-you-can-eat Grouper Night for only $24.95, with a choice of fish prepared three different ways. Landlubbers will also be extremely pleased with the Tenderloin Tika, a HUGE steak skewer with loads of fresh vegetables, and every Sunday enjoy unlimited BBQ Rib Night for only $19.95.
Sweet Peppers is a welcome addition to the Palm Beach roster of restaurants and definitely deserves discovering. Diners will love the tranquil setting, excellent and friendly service, along with a very reasonably priced menu featuring several distinctive and delectable dishes.
Closed on Fridays, they also feature 2 for 1 Happy Hours 3 times a day from noon to 1pm, 3 to 5 pm and 9 to 10 pm, tempting you to linger over a liqueur after your dinner.
