Laguna Restaurant in the Radisson Resort is well-known for their tasty, affordable weekend buffets, but the Radisson’s Executive Chef Kien-Fat Lie-Kwie and his culinary staff really look forward to making holidays special.
This year, it was a classic Fourth of July feast, with holiday favorites on the grill punctuating their sumptuous selection of salads, peel-and-eat shrimp, a prime rib carving station, and amazing dessert table. Even the sweet treats had a red, white and blue treatment with crepes covered with strawberry flambé and whip cream. So did the free welcome drink, frozen Hurricanes, laced with red and blue liqueurs; it was a potent potion to whet patrons appetites.
The executive staff of the Casa Del Mar Resort had to admit the holiday menu was hard to resist, providing a perfect venue for a congenial get together among colleagues. The Chamizo family of Miami traveled to Aruba to share it will their expatriate sister Sylvia, who married a local and made a life in Aruba. All ages found something to like on the diverse holiday menu.
Singer Ricky Thomas regularly provides a medley of mellow music, and Laguna has some of the prettiest surroundings among hotel restaurants. Patrons could choose from the air-conditioned dining room, but it is the terrace, with its sparkling pond filled with koi, that always proves a great favorite.
