Palm Beach – The Picanha is Brazil’s most popular cut of beef. While little known in the US, it is the preferred cut at Amazonia Churrascaria, prepared in accordance to Gaucho tradition, where the cow’s rump cap is rolled into a juicy, most-prized delicacy, grilled to perfection then sliced table side exposing the delicious sirloin heart. Camilo Silva, visiting from Chile, lived in Brazil many years and just loves picanha. While dining at Amazonia Churrascaria he was treated to a generous helping of Picanha and thought it was excellent!
The restaurant is gearing up to Holy Communion season on the island and is expecting to host many big and small parties serving a great selection of food, including Picanha, to family members and friends celebrating the start of a religious life for many of the island’s youngsters.
